Dr. Craig Kaplan, CEO of PredictWallStreet, first began formulating his ideas for investor tools and developing algorithms in 2001. This seminal work would later allow him to harness collective intelligence and lead to a new paradigm in investing. In 2005 Dr. Kaplan founded the company and launched his online Prediction Widget, through which investors can make stock predictions. Craig Kaplan, Ph.D., Founder and CEO – Craig is responsible for both the vision and the patented methods that process the collective intelligence of online investors to generate an edge in the market. Previously, Craig spent twelve years as CEO of iQ Company and has also worked at IBM and at the University of California Santa Cruz as a visiting professor in Computer Science. He holds MS and PhD degrees from Carnegie Mellon University where he co-authored papers with a Nobel-Prize winning economist. He is a member of the scientific research society Sigma Xi and has authored and co-authored more than 30 publications, including a book and eight patents in the software field.

Andrew Keery, VP of Operations – Andrew was co-founder and COO of Banks.com, a financial services portal, publicly traded on the American Stock Exchange. Andrew has a background in business development, strategic planning and product management in the Internet arena, as well as a deep background consulting with financial services firms such as Schwab, Bank of America, Wells Fargo Nikko and many others. Andrew is in charge of operations for PredictWallStreet, which includes Business Development, Product Management and Engineering.

Calen Lopata, Director of Development – Calen oversees engineering and information technology initiatives within the company and frequently serves as technical liaison. He started working with PredictWallStreet in 2002, developing a beta web site and the first graphical prediction interface. Outside PredictWallStreet, he founded a successful web consulting company and spun off a specialized online educational service. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with honors from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Michelle Samis, Office and Finance Manager – Michelle manages the office and all things financial (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting). It’s said that we should all be prepared for flexibility in our careers -- that we can expect three or five or seven changes of careers in a lifetime. While those numbers are probably just urban legends, Michelle is a living example of that very statistic. With each transition, she has gathered more knowledge about running a business; the duties, the distractions, and the inherent opportunities. Her favorite saying: "Careful what you get good at!"

Dr. Craig Kaplan holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied and researched collective intelligence under the mentorship of Herbert A. Simon, the 1978 Nobel Prize winner in economics. During the many years he worked with Dr. Simon, they co-authored several papers on their findings.

Prior to founding PredictWallStreet, Dr. Kaplan was CEO of iQ Company for twelve years. He also worked at IBM, and has taught classes in computer science at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is a member of the scientific research society Sigma Xi, and has authored and co-authored more than 30 publications, including a book. He has written numerous algorithms and holds eight patents in the software field.
