Fortune Magazine names Apple's Steve Jobs as CEO of the Decade (AAPL)

Nov 05, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX News Network) -- 11/5/2009-Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), was named "CEO of the Decade" by Fortune Magazine Thursday. Fortune's Nancy F. Koehn writes, "First and foremost, Steve Jobs is an entrepreneur. And that is how history will long remember him." Jobs, whom= was booted from his company at an early age in the 1980's, returned in the 1990's to found breakthrough innovations like the iPod, iTunes, iPhone as well as Apple stores. Fortune magazine compared Jobs to the likes of Josiah Wedgwood, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, and EstA(C)e Lauder, defining him by his "intense drive, unflagging curiosity, and keen commercial imagination."
